Carved yurt: The rafters, crown, door, and central columns (pillars) of this yurt are carved with traditional decorative patterns. This carving involves painstaking work, a high level of creativity and great skill, making carved yurts more expensive than decorative ones and relatively rare even in Mongolia. Our carved yurts are the work of the most skilled of Mongolian carpenters working in an ancient tradition. Carved yurts can be provided in sizes of four, five, six, eight, and ten wall segments. Decorative yurts come in a variety of sizes, denoted by the number of folding wall segments used in their construction. Travel yurt: The travel yurt was invented in 2006 by a Mongolian carpenter. The advantage of this type of yurt is that all of its wooden parts can be folded into compact forms, allowing for the whole yurt to be carried in just two bags. The travel yurt can be carried in an average sedan and assembled in only thirty minutes. Despite its portability, this yurt has a large floor space of about 104 square feet and can sleep as many as six people. Travel yurts do not have any decorative painting and carving. Because of its intended use, we do not produce any furniture for our travel yurt. (Pictures, Prices)
